4A Top 10 2004

1.  Corsicana (9-1) - Tigers prepped for playoff run by getting a 30-26 win over the rival Lions.

2.  Gregory Portland (10-0) - GP looks to be the class of Region 4, but they'll have to battle several teams with loads of playoff experience like Tivy and Calallen

3.  Kilgore (10-0) - Kilgore ended the season unbeaten but they are in a stacked Region 3 so getting out of the region will be a tough task

4.  Bay City (9-1) - The reward for the Blackcats for being the top seed in D2?  A rematch with perennial contenders La Marque.

5.  Ennis (8-2) - The Lions enter the playoffs off the loss to Corsicana and face a tough Kimball team in the first round.

6.  Highland Park (9-1) - HP won a district title and now faces the real tests.  It doesn't start easy as Texas High is waiting for them in round one.

7.  Hebron (10-0) - The Hawks rolled through the regular season.  Woodrow Wilson and super prospect Sergio Kindle are there first round opponents.

8.  Stephenville (10-0) - Stephenville gets WF Rider in round one.  At one time Rider was 7-0 and getting state notice so this could be more dangerous than it appears for the Jackets.

9.  Texas High (8-2) - The Tigers rebounded from their early season struggles and dominated district play.  The Scots are up first though so the going will get real tough from here on out.

10.  Waxahachie (8-2) - The Indians made the playoffs for the 15th straight year.  They also have won 8 straight ballgames going into next week's game with Killeen.
