Red Oak Comes To Homecoming
The final game of the regular season is this
Friday in Corsicana as the Tigers host Red Oak. It is also homecoming
night for Corsicana.
Red Oak comes into the game off of a 9-7
loss to Lancaster which eliminated them from the playoffs and clinched
playoff berths for Corsicana and Terrell. Last year the Hawks went
into the final game against the Tigers with a shot at the playoffs and gave
the Tigers all they could handle before falling.
The Tigers will need to rebound from last
week's disappointing loss to Ennis and gain some momentum before the
playoffs begin. The offense struggled last week with turnovers and
mistakes and will need to get back some of the consistency they had earlier
in the year. Clarence Robinson was held to under 100 yards for the
first time all year and Daniel Orr and the passing game just couldn't string
enough plays together.
Defensively the Tigers looked great last
week - for one half of play. In the second half the Tigers seemed to
let a questionable call in the endzone affect their confidence as what had
been a great Tiger effort turned into quick Ennis points. The defense
has been streaky this year and will be looking to turn in a solid complete
game against Red Oak to have something to build on going into the playoffs.
Speaking of the playoffs, the Tigers will
play Waxahachie in Ennis on Friday November 14th at 7:30.
