Tigers Roll Over Mabank 66-7

The Tigers took care of business early on Friday taking a 56-0 lead into halftime and cruising to a 66-7 victory. On Mabank's first series on offense Michael Andrews intercepted Mabank QB Tyler Hamilton and scored.  On the ensuing kickoff the Tigers would force and recover a fumble which set up Clarence Robinson's first TD of the night.

It was downhill from there for Mabank.  Robinson would finish with 122 yards on 10 carries and 3 TD's to go over the 1000 yard mark for the season as well as adding a 38 yard touchdown reception.  Tyjuan Manning and Jon Bauer would each have a touchdown catch in the first half as well.  The Tiger reserves got into the act in the second half driving to a Matt Pratt field goal and Whitney McDade would add a 31 yard TD run (McDade would join Robinson over the 100 yard mark rushing for the night).  A stellar night for the Tiger offense as the backups were able to get some valuable game experience.

On defense the Tigers limited Mabank to 40 yards of offense in the first half and only 60 yards total offense for the game.  In addition to Andrews interception return Tomario Cleveland would also return an interception for a touchdown.  Also on the defensive side of the ball, Jonte Manning not only recovered a fumble which set up a Tiger score he also made a spectacular diving interception in the first half.

The Tigers were supposed to win easily on Friday and they did just that.  Next week's game against Terrell will be a huge test as Terrell beat Lancaster 10-7 in OT on Friday night.
