Tigers Travel To Tomato Bowl
The Tigers will play host to Cleburne Friday
night at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers are coming off of a 31-17 victory
over the Jacksonville Indians while Cleburne struggled last week in a 31-0
loss to Wylie.
On offense the Tigers will look to continue
to improve a unit that has looked stellar so far this year. The
offensive line has been opening holes for the running game and Clarence
Robinson and Daniel Orr have been making the most of it. Robinson has
run for two touchdowns in each of the first two games while rushing for
almost 300 yards so far this season. The passing game hasn't put up
gaudy numbers, but has been effective when the Tigers have gone to the air
with Tyjuan Manning providing big plays in both of the Tigers wins and Jon
Bauer leads the team in catches.
On defense the Tigers showed improvement
last week and will look to continue to do so against a Cleburne team that
only managed 76 yards of total offense last week. The Tigers had a
rough start against Jacksonville - allowing 17 points in the first half -
but came on strong in the second and didn't allow the Indians another score.
