Tigers Dominate Cleburne 38-0

The Tigers put on a dominating showing Friday night at home against the Cleburne Yellowjackets winning 38-0.  The Tigers scored 35 points in the first half scoring a touchdown on every possession except the final one of the half as time ran out.

Clarence Robinson was electrifying as he had 142 yards on only 7 carries in the first half including touchdown runs of 45 yards and 34 yards  (Robinson ended the game with 181 yards on 13 carries).  Tyjuan Manning continued his run of big plays catching two TD passes from Daniel Orr.  Orr also ran one in for a score.  The defense was equally dominant in the first half as they held Cleburne to 37 total yards and 3 first downs.

The Tiger offense had some miscues in the second half losing early in the third quarter but the defense continued their great play in preserving the shutout.  Matt Pratt added a fourth quarter field goal to round out the scoring.

The Tiger reserves were able to get some valuable experience in this game which will pay dividends later in the season when depth becomes a key factor.  The Tigers now prepare to take on longtime rival Waxahachie who defeated FW Dunbar 40-7 on Friday night.
